Getting your friends, family and colleagues to donate is not always easy (even though there’s no doubt many of them would love to see you in a compromising position). So here are some tips to kickstart your efforts and make sure you smash your target!
Step 1. Think of a challenge
What I something you have always wanted to do but it is out of your comfort zone? There is your challenge.
Step 2. Think of a Fundraising goal
How much will your friends and family donate to see you get uncomfortable? Make the target fit for the challenge!
Step 3. Sign up
Register yourself or your team for the Very Uncomfortable Challenge, it’s go time!
Step 4. Customise your website!
It’s where your supporters will spend their time tracking your progress, make it cute, cool or both.
Step 5. Share your progress!
Think of ways you’d like share your journey and how often you want to document your progress, from vlogging to fitness tracking to posting thank you to your supporters. We recommend updating your supporters at least once a week however it’s totally up to you, remember to #REACHVUC24

The people in your life want to see YOU in the spotlight. So log into your fundraising page, add a profile picture and write a short spiel that tells them WHY you’re doing Reach’s Very Uncomfortable Challenge. A personal message is so much more powerful than something generic.

We have a sample email you can send to your colleagues, co-workers and peers. Again - feel free to make it your own! We’ve also got a nifty image you can add to your email signature - make sure to hyperlink it!
4. Lead by example
Show ‘em how it’s done. Make a donation to yourself to set the benchmark and get the ball rolling.

Never underestimate the power of a personal thank you to every individual and company who supports you. They’ll really appreciate it and you!
